How is it going? My name is Jacari D. Jackson and I’m an licensed clinical social worker who has provided individual therapeutic sessions at both the community and private levels of care since 2017. I have worked with individuals by utilizing cognitive behavioral interventions to help guide them through the self-reflection process and assist them in understanding their own maladaptive patterns of thought with greater accuracy. My approach to therapy pulls from the Humanistic and Cognitive schools of thought mainly, in which focusing on the development of one’s strengths may assist them in their pursuit to maximize their own growth. In my counseling experience, this approach to therapy has empowered my clients to resolve their personal issues and assist them to become what they feel is the best version of themselves. My approach to counseling is best described as conversational, strengths-based, and collaborative. I provide a safe space within my sessions that can naturally lead to transparency and ultimately progress in one’s treatment goals. The duration of therapy sessions is unique to each member. In response to COVID-19 conditions, I am currently only providing HIPPA compliant Telehealth (virtual) sessions. I am also providing in-person sessions as well at your discretion.
